Al-Sisi ratifies new ambassadors’ movement

Abou Zaid appointed as ambassador to Canada, Abdelkhalek to Ethiopia


President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi ratified on Thursday the new movement of ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions abroad. The movement included appointing Ahmed Abou Zaid as an extraordinary ambassador to Canada, and Khaled Azmy as an extraordinary ambassador to Israel.

Egypt’s former ambassador to Jordan Tarek Adel was appointed also as an extraordinary ambassador to the United Kingdom and North Ireland, while former ambassador Nasser Kamel was appointed at the headquarter of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 30 August. Sherif Ahmed Kamel was appointed as an ambassador to Jordan.

The movement also included appointing Osama Mohamed Abdelkhalek as an extraordinary ambassador to Ethiopia; and Osama Said Mahmoud Khalil as an extraordinary ambassador to Ecuador while former ambassador Abdel Monem Omar was appointed at the headquarter of the ministry  of foreign affairs in Cairo since 12 December.

According to the new movement, Heba Al-Merasy will be appointed as an extraordinary ambassador to India; Ashraf Mohamed Mowafy as an extraordinary ambassador to Hungary; Amal Mostafa Morad as an extraordinary ambassador to Chile; and Sherif Fouad Mostafa as an extraordinary ambassador to Panama and non-resident ambassador to Nicaragua and Costa Rica.

Also, Said Mohamed Hendam was selected to be an extraordinary ambassador to the Czech republic and non-resident ambassador to Montenegro;, Hossam El-Din Qassem as an extraordinary ambassador to Sudan; Khaled Tharwat as an extraordinary ambassador to Ireland; Ahmed Ahmed Rashad Salama as an extraordinary ambassador to Mauritania; Ayman Mousharafa as an extraordinary ambassador to Algeria; Naglaa Essam El-Din Al-Zawahry as an extraordinary ambassador to Guinea and non-resident ambassador to Guinea-Bissau;, Bassem Khalil as an extraordinary ambassador to Slovenia, and Sherif Al-Bediwi as an extraordinary ambassador to the United Arab Emirates.
