Vodafone launches metric to measure business sector’s readiness to meet technological challenges

Enterprise Business Unit Director at Vodafone Mohamed Abd Allah said the new metric is an initiative launched under the auspices of the Vodafone's Ready Business services, a programme offered to Vodafone's corporate clients


Vodafone launched the Ready Business Meter, a metric that will measure the preparedness of companies in the Egyptian market to address the technological challenges inherent to market.

Enterprise Business Unit Director at Vodafone Mohamed Abd Allah said the new metric is an initiative launched under the auspices of the Vodafone’s Ready Business services, a programme offered to Vodafone’s corporate clients. The Ready Business Meter is part of a range of Ready Business services that Vodafone offers to its customers in the corporate sector.

Using the metre service begins with answering a series of questions to assess the status of the company and the readiness from the technological point of view. Then a specialised team from Vodafone visits the company to study its service and specialisation, upon which Vodafone will submit their proposals to the company of the services that could contribute to the development of the way work is performed and increase efficiency and capacity building.

AbdAllah said Vodafone offers the Ready Business Meter service in more than 15 countries. The company already provided ​​a number of technological solutions for the corporate sector, such as remote surveillance (Security and Surveillance Sol.), the car tracking service (Fleet Management Service), and the Machine to Machine service.

Vodafone allocated EGP 10bn for investments in the Egyptian market, of which more than EGP 7bn have been invested during the past two years. The company is counting on value-added services in the Egyptian market to drive growth such as the deployment of mobile service coverage, especially 3G.

Vodafone also invests in service quality by establishing branches and customer service centres. It is also working on providing technological solutions to the corporate sector, such as cloud computing solutions, that help the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
